INTRODUCTION TO THE FIRM:
JAMES D. MARKS ASSOCIATES, INC., Consulting Structural Engineers began as a consulting
engineering company in 1971.
During the past thirty-seven years, the firm has designed the structural framework for
thousands of buildings, unique structures and special projects. As a “Design” firm, we
provided plans and specifications for new construction, Construction Observations, and
Special Inspector services on Threshold Buildings.
The buildings include residential, professional, commercial, warehouses, factories - and
additions, repairs and renovations to those structures. The unique structures include marinas,
docks, cofferdams, bulkheads, and modular structural systems.
The special projects include engineering investigations, project evolution, troubleshooting,
"Value Engineering," forensic engineering, dispute resolution and expert engineering services.
We have been honored with various design awards, including the American Concrete Institute's
"South Florida Chapter."
Today, we limit our practice to special projects that require our degree of engineering
experience and judgment. Our clientele are Owners, Contractors, Engineers, Attorneys, and
the Insurance Industry.
We are prepared to provide you with expert and forensic engineering services. The resolution
of disputes is our major goal.
